Learning to Code one Certificate at a Time.
I’m currently completing a Front-End Developer program through SheCodes, and it’s already helping me level up as a UX designer. Learning how interfaces are actually built—using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript—has made my design decisions more grounded in real-world constraints. I’m starting to think more about responsive behavior, component structure, and how developers will implement what I create. Even while I’m still in the program, this technical foundation is making me a stronger collaborator and helping me design with more clarity, intention, and feasibility.
SheCodes Basics
SheCodes Basics course teaches you how to use VS Code and GitHub, and basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript coding. I found this enlightening from start to finish and I can’t wait to jump into the next certificate. For the final project, we had to code a Landing Page from scratch. There were specific requirements for the page, so I wouldn’t consider it great from a UX or UI perspective, but I’m proud of my first foray into coding! You can view my final project here.
